Domaine François Labet
Never let a domaine’s size mislead you: the Domaine Labet, founded in 1930 and covering slightly less than 6 hectares, is the largest of the Clos de Vougeot wineries.
Following the arrival of François Labet (the founder’s grandson) and with the expert guidance of oenologist Jean-Pierre Confuron, this winery quickly rose in prestige. The Domaine obtained its organic certification in the early 90s, and the grapes are left on their stems at the beginning of the winemaking process.
The latter takes place at the Château de la Tour, which was built in 1890 by the Labet family’s ancestors. The Domaine’s wines are the only ones that are vinified and aged at the prestigious Clos
