Catherine Essa-Buisson and her husband Patrick Essa own the modest 6 hectares of this estate in the Meursault appellation (nearly 4 hectares of Meursault and Meursault Premier Cru) and in the Volnay, Chassagne-Montrachet and Pommard appellations.
They believe in a natural approach to the vineyard, which means that absolutely no herbicides are used. And the great age of the vines, which range from 30 to 90 years old, means that yields are naturally low resulting in concentrated wines destined for laying down
