Domaine Clos Mont-Olivet - Chateauneuf du Pape
Spread over 28 hectares of AOC Châteauneuf (plus 17 of Côtes du Rhone and 1.5 of Vin de Table), this magnificent estate is considered a reference in the region.
Cultivated using reasoned agricultural techniques, the very old vines grow on a multitude of small parcels where they crisscross over the different and extremely characterised terroirs. Grenache dominates the reds, but Syrah, Mourvèdre and Cinsault also grow alongside some rarer grape varieties: Counoise, Picpoul Noir, Vaccarèse or Muscardin…
The estate is now a ‘groupement viticole’, i.e. a winemaking company managed by the Sabon family, ensuring that it can never be divided up.
