Château de Roquefort - Provence Bio
At the foot of the Sainte-Baume hills, Raymond de Villeneuve cultivates his 24 hectares using exclusively biodynamic techniques inspired by Steiner (the founding father of the biodynamic movement). He produces a sublime rosé (Corail) made from Grenache, Syrah, Rolle, Cinsault, Carignan and Clairette. The cuvee ‘Les Mures’, a blend of 40% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 25% Carignan plus some Cinsault and Cabernet Sauvignon, is a beautifully complex and aromatic red of impressive length and extraordinary good value. The whites, such as ‘Les Genêts’ a blend of Rolle and Clairette, show a richness and complexity that is outstanding for the region whilst retaining superb freshness.
